Who's Viewed Dynamic View

My company uses dynamic views frequently to share information with our field sales team. In one instance, if I view the activity log of the source sheet, I can see who has viewed the sheet using dynamic view. That information appears on the downloaded report as Action = Sheet Viewed and Source = API - Other Client. However, there is another sheet where that information does not appear in the activity log at all. Recently a rep emailed questions specific to the data that would be visible to him within that sheet, so I know he's viewed that particular dynamic view. Yet, when I look at the activity log, there is no instance of any of the sales team accessing dynamic view. Do you know why that would be? As far as I can tell, both sheets are set up nearly identically. Is there a setting I'm missing?

I was able to recreate a similar issue with Dynamic View. In my case, I shared the view domain-wide and then published it on a dashboard. When someone within the domain accessed the dashboard, their access to the Dynamic View didn’t appear in the source sheet's activity log.

While I’m not entirely sure if this is the sole cause, at least in my case, this specific setup resulted in the absence of an entry in the activity log. Reviewing how the view is shared and accessed in your setup might be worth examining. For example:

1. Check if the Dynamic View is accessed directly through a share link or indirectly through a dashboard or another embedded method.
2. Ensure that the sharing permissions and publishing settings are configured to allow visibility tracking (e.g., avoid domain-wide shares if detailed tracking is needed).

It could also help to test by sharing the view directly with specific users and verifying if their access is logged.
