Is anyone using a "ai service" for meeting notes and importing into smartsheet?

Hello - we track client meeting notes for our projects in a smartsheet. We use a parent-child relationship for the meeting titles, and the children are all of the topics. We track open and closed items with assigned to and dates. We might have 20 meetings for a client. It works pretty well.

We are recording the meetings with otter.ai, which has been very usefull for reference and reviewing when and if the client starts showing us red flags. We love it.

I am starting to see instances where an ai service provider will populate a set format or agenda for a meeting. We could see this being very useful for a simple copy and paste into smartsheet.

Does anyone use an ai service for meeting notes within smartsshet? Would love to hear about it! Thanks

    Hi @Jef Forward!

While I haven’t worked with this AI service, it is definitely possible to bring meeting notes into Smartsheet depending on the file type it exports. Based on what I see, Otter.ai allows you to export files as TXT, DOCX, PDF, or copy to the clipboard.

Here are a few ways you can integrate your notes into Smartsheet:

    • Manual Attachments: You can upload your meeting notes directly to a sheet or row as an attachment.
    • API Automation: If you want to automate this process, you can leverage the Smartsheet API to attach files programmatically. Smartsheet API – Attachments
    • Copy and Paste: If you prefer to work with text directly, you’ll need to copy and paste the notes manually from the clipboard.

One thing to consider is that attachments typically open in a pop-up window or a separate tab when accessed. You can find more details here: Attach files to a sheet or report

Let’s see if other members have insights on how they’re handling AI-generated meeting notes in Smartsheet!

    Cheers,
    Isaac.

Hello @Jef Forward We haven't used AI for meetings so far but it sounds like a pretty good idea and you can submit this as a product idea to Smartsheet. This might come in very handy in the future.

    Thanks,
