Is it possible to test code in a Sandbox, and not in the Smartsheet Production Environment?

I am VERY new to API's, Python, and Bridge. I'd like to test my scripts on our existing Smartsheet Data, but without the risk of breaking something in our Smartsheet Production environment.

Besides me making mistakes, to run test scripts in our environment on production data, I need a change request and multiple meetings to justify it. It's just not feasible for testing.

Is there ANY possible way to test scripts in Smartsheet without the risk of breaking something?

I usually just make a copy of whatever data I need to test on and drop it into a completely different workspace and test on that.

There might be. Maybe Postman or something similar? You may not see the results in a Smartsheet type environment, but it could still output the API response which will let you know whether it was successful or not (plus some other data depending on the call).

So there's no "Mirror Dimension" I can visit? :/ some of my scripts will be global, for things like a) Getting a list of all workspaces, and assets within those workspaces. b) Adding all users to group, etc.

It's too bad there isn't at least a test environment available…

It's too bad there isn't anything like this available. I"ll just be careful with my scripts I guess.
