Multiple Column Formulas on the same Column (depending on type of Row)

Column formulas have been great! But as I'm working a parent row vs a child row I naturally would like to have control of a template of different types of information shown on each.

For example I want a priority to be shown on each child and the highest of those priorities to be shown on the parent row.

And I want to estimate labor hours on the child rows and have that automatically feed up into the parent. There are different types of "headers" or parent rows that happen sometimes. And a quick toggle between some options of which type I want to use for that row would be an amazing time saver!

Thanks for sharing your idea!

In the meantime, you can actually build out what you're looking to do all in one single column formula.

Use an IF statement to first check if the row is a Parent or not. If it is, return your Parent formula. If it's not, then return your Child formula.

I'd recommend posting a Question in the Formulas category if you need help building this out! Screen captures of your sheet with test data and a copy/paste of your current formulas would be helpful.
