Collections or Groups of sheets & workspaces

In addition to the workspaces that I own, I get shared to individual sheets (listed under 'sheets' instead of workspaces) and partial sheets within other workspaces I do not have full admin rights.

This poses the inability to move shared sheets to my workspace and reorganize sheets or partial workspaces owned by others into my own workspace without posing the risk of changing ownership to some of the sheets.

I suggest having the ability to create groups or collections of shared sheets and partially shared workspaces with limited access rights, with my own workspaces and sheets on related projects. This would be similar to creating a 'collections' feature on BOX.

Good news - Smartsheet already has Collections for Enterprise plans! You can add sheets from the Sheets folder to Collections, along with items across other Workspaces.

This is fantastic! I don't know the specific plan that my company provides but I'm unable to have this feature even though I login via my company's plan using my own credentials. Don't get me wrong, I understand some features is only for higher level plans, but it seems like this feature would benefit everyone or at least starting from the pro level plan. BOX has this collection feature across all their plans including the free plan.

It looks like you are on an Enterprise plan so you should have access to Collections! 🙂

To access it, you will need to first be in a Workspace (not the Sheets folder) and then click on any asset to then find the Workspace Panel.

Thanks Genevieve! This is very strange then. After reviewing the video, unfortunately, I still don't have the 'collection' option and my workspace layout physically looks different from the normal view. For example, when attending the smartsheet day event, control center was discussed, however this feature wasn't even available in our enterprise plan. And the left menu sidebar icons are also different from our view.

@Genevieve P. Thanks so much for looking into this. This makes sense if my company hasn't purchased the control center. It might be similar to why my workspace layout is different - I'm signed into the .GOV version. I'm attaching what I see on my end.

Aha! That's it. Unfortunately Collections is not currently available in .GOV, but it is in .COM!
