I'm reaching out to share an idea and ask for future updates, if possible.
Our team uses Card View for sample requests. Each card contains many necessary parts, and up to 10 people always work on the same sections (cutters, sewers, coordinator, quality, etc.). The card length is correct and expected. The challenge is efficiency: without formatting, every person must scroll through the entire card to find their section.
Many of our team members are not tech-savvy, have used Card View for years, are senior staff, and English is their second language. They are comfortable in Card View, and changing to Grid or other views would be disruptive.
My Request: Could Smartsheet add simple formatting options to help sections stand out in Card View? Examples:
- Dividers/separators:
───────── Cutters Section ─────────
- Symbols/icons: ✂️ Cutters, 🧵 Sewers, ✅ Quality
- Border/highlight blocks around grouped text
- Formatting: bold headings, larger font for titles, or colored text for role sections
These changes would improve navigation, efficiency, and clarity while keeping Card View familiar and accessible for all users.
