Exporting Completed Forms

Question

I have created Smartsheet forms for clients. I want to send them their completed form in a readable format annually, to double-check the information they have provided is up to date.

The only way I can think to do this is to filter the intake sheet for the client I want, then export to excel. However, this is not a readable format and does not show the questions, only column headers. Does anyone have any ideas/done this before?

Hi,

I hope you're well and safe!

I'd recommend adding so-called helper columns with the questions on each row, then hiding them. (You could use the top row of the sheet or the sheet summary to add them and then reference each in all rows)

Then you can use the Update Request feature to send out an annual request where they can see/update the information.

Without inviting your client into your Smartsheet instance, your export options are either as PDF, Excel, or Google Sheets.

As it's only an annual task, suggest you add the form questions into a helper row in Smartsheet, that you can then use as a header row in Excel.
