Linking Cells from a Vertical Orientation to a Horizontal Orientation
Hello everyone,
I am creating a Project Pipeline which consists of many linked cells from many different individual project sheets. The individual project sheets are designed in a way that the information I am accessing is vertical. But in my pipeline, these same values need to be horizontally displayed. I need to link around 20 cells from each project sheet, and it is tedious and a waste of time to individually link each cell from many different projects.
Is there a way I can link these cells and transpose them at the same time, so that I only have to copy-paste a single time from each project sheet?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Max

Hi Max,
My suggestion would be to link it to another section/column on the project sheet and then link that area to the project pipeline.
Would that work for you?!
I hope this helps you!

I wrote this today to document a way I have solved this:

What if it isn't dates that you are trying to transpose?
For example, I have a request form w/ 4 entries that refer back to columns that need to be filled in:
Column 1 Date Requested
Column 2 Requester
Column 3 Project Type
Column 4 Product
As the form is entered these results are filled in 1 Sheet housed in our Workspaces folder.
We then have a workspace folder that is project specific and I would like to see these 4 columns transposed and entered as "task" results. For Example:
Column 1 - Task
Row 1 - Date Requested
Row 2 - Requester
Row 3 - Project Type
Row 4 - Product
Then I would have my project timeline listed below w/ hierarchy & predecessors.
Row 5 - Contact AM
Row 6 - Prepare internal documentation
etc.
