Seriously, this should be a default feature.  How often in life can we only make one choice for things.  This would make the drop down feature so much more powerful and the alternates of multiple columns are just not tenable.  People have been asking for this for years, literally.

Come on, Smartsheet people.

@angie—Our Product team doesn't necessarily start developing a feature only when it receives a specific number of votes. They look at how high demand is for a feature, and weight that with the difficulty and amount of time/resources it would take to develop said feature. We're definitely aware of the demand for the feature, and our Product team is weighing options for development, but I don't have a specific time frame for when we'd see this feature in the app.

We are all very keen for this feature to be implemented it will be incredibly useful. The alternative of using Azuqua to achieve this has proven too expensive for most of our clients at $250 per month.

A bit disappointed to learn from this discussion the feature has not been added.  Guess I'll do the multiple checkboxes as a workaround.  Please move this feature up in the list of needs.
