Gantt Report for Several Sheets - Can I drag & drop dates in the report?

I would like to be able to drag & drop Gantt dates in my report as we have several projects going concurrently, and the report is great for big picture.  How do I do that?

Also, how do I reflect a pause in a project, as in we're waiting for info from a client but are working on other jobs in the mean while?  I would like it if the pause didn't look on the Gantt like we're working on both jobs concurrently.

  • Hi Anne,

There currently isn't a way to drag and drop or add new Gantt dates as new projects occur in a report, that needs to occur on the source sheets that you're using to drive the report.

You might consider applying a sort to your report if you'd like to have dates displayed chronologically: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/504742-sorting-rows

One way you might represent a hiatus for a project is to include a status column on your source sheet. You can create a new dropdown list column on your sheet with different statuses—one of them being "halted" or "paused."

Then, you can adjust your report to only display "active" statuses (e.g., in progress, waiting for signoff) in the report. Details on reporting can be found in our help center: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/522214-creating-reports
