Hello everybody,
Does anybody know how to take this annoying new "Filter/Share" line down? To permanently hide it.
Just a waste of space for us ;(
Thanks,
Ivan, as far as I can tell that filter bar only shows up when you have a filter actively in use on a sheet. I don't see a way to remove it without deleting the filter. At least, it always goes away for me when I don't have any active filters on the sheet whether they are named or not.
Update: after trying several filters that filter/share bar across the top now seems to be stuck there. I don't see a way to remove it either...
Hopefully this is a mistake. Please remove.
You see, Tripp, it is not a mistake. Let's remove that filter/share bar somehow instead
Smartsheet helpdesk, please take a look into this.
Hi Ivan,
The 'Filter/Share' bar at the top of the sheet was set as a permanent row within our recent update, it cannot be removed. For more information on our recent Smartsheet updates please reference the release notes here: https://www.smartsheet.com/release-notes
If by "Filter/Share line" you're referring to the cell outlined in your screenshot, the cell that has been right-clicked isn't a filter but the parent row for what appears to be rows within a hierarchy. This Help Center article outlines how to utilize hierarchies within Smartsheet. https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/504734-hierarchy-indenting-outdenting-rows
Please let us know if you have any questions on the above.Cheers, Eric

Hello Eric,
Thank you for the reply. Yes, I meant that permanent "No filter.... Share" line we see on top of our sheets and never use. Just wondering, why to waste the precious space?
I think I am not alone here, other users may appreciate having important information from their sheets instead of the line they never use right on top of the sheet.
And no way to disable this, really?
Thank you for understanding.
Yes, that is correct. Currently we don’t have a method to remove/hide the filter section but this will be considered as a possibility for future development.
Cheers, Eric

We are a construction company and I am trying to build automations and a dashboard for tracking "Outstanding Update Requests" - Each of our Line-Item tasks require us to acquire information from 3rd parties. This information takes standard forms (Start Date, End Date, Comments, Attachments, etc), but the specific fields…
Since I tried to report this as a technical issue and was redirected by a useless AI to this Community, I'd like to ask if anyone here has had the same experience? Screenshot attached, and needless to say, it is not convenient at all.
What happens if a System Admin deletes a user who owns items without transferring those items to another user?
