I have two sheets with several common columns. One of which is closing dates.  I want sheet B closing date column to look at sheet A and pull the closing date for each row. The sheets have common columns for lot# which would be the field to index on. In other words, if lot# 1 is closing on 4-1-18 this gets entered into sheet 1. I don't want to have to enter the date again in sheet 2 for lot# 1.

You might consider creating a VLOOKUP, or MATCH/INDEX formula to lookup the date from Sheet A and return the value on Sheet B.
