Cell Reference Limitation

We're tracking different divisions within our company on separate sheets. We’ve created summary sheets that reference other smartsheet tabs and we’re consistently hitting the 100 distinct cross sheet references limit when building summary sheets. We figured out how to compile the information for each division via the reporting function but we can't reference a report so we're back to square one. Are other people experiencing similar issues? If so, how are they working around the limitations?

As far as I know, they've only gotten as far as running simulations to determine how to approach the issue and what level of performance could be achieved if they were to increase the limit beyond 100.

More concerning for me is the 25,000 cell-link limit per sheet. Smartsheet Control Center uses metadata to create roll-up reporting automatically (to one master sheet) when you provision a new project. We have about 100 columns in this sheet, so this will allow only 250 projects before we hit the limit. We started using the Control Center solution in August 2017 and we're now at 165 projects.
