Multiple Formulas: Formula SUM conflicts with Formula IF Logic
I have a sheet set up so that when a checkbox is checked, the price of a product generates in the column next to it. I also want to be able to capture the sum of everything in the price column, but when I input an =SUM, it reads as 0.00. Is there a way for the formula to calculate the sum of values that are generated by a different formula?

Hi Denise,
If you are using hierarchy (parent/child) rows, you can use the following formula: =SUM(children()) and it will capture a total of all child rows.

Take the quotes away and remove the $ sign from the $38.66 in your formula. So you will be left with =IF(checkbox5 = 1, 38.66). then just format the column as Dollars.
Once you put those quotes in your formula, Smartsheet identifies it as Text.
