If updates are made to one smartsheet, can it be ported to another?

I have two smart sheets that are almost identical(one is a copy of the other - except I removed 3 columns). I am looking for a functionality such that if updates are made to one, the second smartsheet gets updated automatically!

The reason for two smartsheets and updates is because the audience for both the files is different. 

Also, only changes made to first smartsheet should get propagated to second smartsheet and not vice versa.

That functionality is not possible within Smartsheet. However... you can create a report that will allow you to filter the data coming from the original sheet so you can see  a pared-down version of the data. The data is linked to the original sheet and is editable.
