Gantt view dates don't show correctly . . .

The dates shown in the Gantt view bars do not show line up with the actual dates stated in the Start Date and Finish Date columns - it is out of line by about 6 months.

In the attached screen shot, for the overall project the Finish Date is 26/02/2021, but the Gantt bar shows the finish to be in middle of Q4 2021. It is the same if I set the Gantt view to Months rather than Quarters.

Has anyone else seen this and found a solution?

Hello,

It's likely that your Gantt is set to start the fiscal year on different month other than January. That means that when you enter a calendar date into the Start or Finish date columns of the grid, the Gantt converts them to the appropriate fiscal year for you. If you'd like to set this back to January, you can do so with the steps in the help center: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/765755-modifying-project-settings#timelinedisplay

I am having the same issue, and our company fiscal year starts in February… I have a project that starts 8/25/25, with fiscal year starting February, which should be Q3 2025 (Aug3-Nov1), but it is showing that it starts in Q3 2026…
