Fixing the Gantt timeline to Years and Months

Hi all,

 

Something is driving me a little crazy and I wonder if anyone could help?

 

Our client likes programme timelines to be displayed like this:

- primary heading: years

- secondary heading: months

 

This works fine until someone zooms in or out (using the +/-) buttons on the Gantt chart. When they zoom they are unable to zoom out to the same setting (it reverts to years and quarters). I (as a licensed user) am able to go and set this in the project settings, however my team (as free users and editors) are not able to go in to project settings. 

 

Any tips?

Hello Jimmy, 

 

As having years and months aren't a standard setting and can only be set from within the Project settings, there wouldn't be a way for anyone with editor permissions to set it back to the year/month setting. Only users with Admin permissions are allowed to edit these settings. 

 

You are able to give free users Admin permissons on a sheet, so if you would like them to be able to edit the settings to change the Gantt headers to a year/month setting, you can change their sharing permission on the shee to Admin.
