We have used the Outlook add-in to add emails to smart sheets but wondering if there is a way to add a chat within MS Teams to a smartsheet similar to adding an outlook email.
You can attach almost any type of file to a sheet, row, comment, or workspace. You can attach files from your computer or files stored in supported third-party cloud storage services.
You would first need to export the chat from MS Teams, then upload it to Smartsheet as an attachment. The Microsoft Community has this helpful post on how to export chats:
