I use smartsheet for staff to assign themselve to rows (or dates) to cover staffing. When 2 people access the form at the same time they are able to assign themselves to the same date (row) and are both notified that they are assigned for that date. I (as manager) also get 2 seperate emails confirming that each of them have the same date. Is there any way to eliminate this option?
This question is specific to when an Update Request is sent out via email. My staff are accessing the update request and do not see that another person is in the request at the same time and they both assign themselves to the same date.

Would it work if you sent the update request to one first and the second person afterward or similar?

Anyway we can make this view only for security purposes? We would like to prevent users from sending responses to other users by accident.
I am currently setting up an automation for people to get notified through their email, when they are prompted. But is there a way that they can reply in the email of a comment that will then go to the specific sheet. This way they do not have access to the sheet, but can just comment through email with updates?
