Actions & Alerts Not working after they are modified
It seems since the update to the actions & alerts if a action is modified after it is initially saved and was working it no longer functions. Is anyone else seeing this problem?
Example:
Create a update request action when a checkbox is ticked. Send to a an email address in a field. Save this action and the action works.
Then edit this action and add some new text in the email notification. Save. This update request action no longer functions.

There is information from Smartsheet on this and how to work around or utilise the new solutions....
My colleagues Craig and JamesR are reviewing this for our clients as there will be many implications....

Hi Richard,
I'm not getting any errors and these are newly created alerts using the new alert. I create a new alert today. It works. If i then edit that same alert it immediately stops functioning but with no error. To get it to work again i have to delete it and re-create it.

I would recommend that you contact the Smartsheet Support Team directly. I think that all these quirks will be gone later today or tomorrow because of the Engage Conference.

UUUGH!
Sounds like a bug and as Andre says, it might just disappear in the next few days as there will almost certainly be an update of software with new functionality as part of the conference and i'm sure they will get that right for such a powerful audience.
I'd try to leave it until Friday?
Cross fingers....?

Hello,
I ran into the same problem with the Approval Request. After the request was created (with all columns displayed in the request), it worked fine. But if I modify it to show only a few columns, then nothing is happening, no email sent. Previously created Approval Requests (with some columns shown) are still working.
I have opened a ticket for this issue and waiting on some feedback from Smartsheet.
Seems like a bad rollout of the new functionalities.
