Count multiple criteria in a row

I have spent hours scrolling through all the great advice in the Community, and there is not a formula that is working for me. I need to count all the Semi-Annual Update, In Progress, and Waiting on County in a column.

=COUNTIF([Status Report]:[Status Report], "Semi-Annual Update") works great to count all of the Semi-Annual Update cells, but I can not figure out to get the total of all cells with Semi-Annual Update, In Progress, and Waiting on County. Below is a screenshot of my sheet:

Try this.

=COUNTIFS(StatusReport:StatusReport; "Semi-Annual Update") + COUNTIFS(StatusReport:StatusReport; "In Progress") + COUNTIFS(StatusReport:StatusReport; "Waiting on County")    

The same version but with the below changes for your and others convenience.    

=COUNTIFS(StatusReport:StatusReport, "Semi-Annual Update") + COUNTIFS(StatusReport:StatusReport, "In Progress") + COUNTIFS(StatusReport:StatusReport, "Waiting on County")

Depending on your country you’ll need to exchange the comma to a period and the semi-colon to a comma.

Sadly, neither of these formulas are working for me. I receive #Unparseable error.

Andree's formulas should work. Try changing the column names in his formulas from StatusReport to [Status Report]

Y'all are amazing! Thank you both for your assistance. Here is the final formula that did the trick:

=COUNTIF([Status Report]:[Status Report], "Semi-Annual Update") + COUNTIF([Status Report]:[Status Report], "In Progress") + COUNTIF([Status Report]:[Status Report], "Waiting on County")
