How do i set the preferences on the gantt area view format?
I'd like to remove the label which repeats the task name and perhaps toggle the dependency arrows on/off.
Thanks
Peter,
When the Gantt chart is displayed, the upper left of the Gannt area has a gear symbol for the Project Setttings. In there (under Timeline Display) you can turn off the label.
I don't see a setting for the arrows.
Hope this helps.
Craig
if I understand your question..In the same area where Craig mentioned..
Gear Symbol then Project Settings. In the Dependency Settings section, you can "uncheck" Dependencies Enabled which will remove your Dependency Arrows.
You can then recheck to re-enable. I didn't do a before and after comparison, but to be safe before I did that, I'd Save a back up of the sheet and then Disabled. Or you could just not "Save" the sheet and click the "Undo/Redo" buttons.
hope that helps.
Tim
Thanks for both repsonses.
I'm currently on the free trial so i don't get a 'project settings' option.
I will be moving to paid shortly though, so will try then.
With regard to the dependancies, I'll be careful to test that. What i require is just to switch off the arrows from displaying. I would still want them there (in the background) to drive relationships and, hence, the start dates etc.
Again, i'll try when i move to paid version.
Cheers
Peter
Hi Peter, as a trial user you do have access to project settings. Either click the gear icon on the top left of the Gantt chart or right click on a column header and select Edit Project Settings.
Dependency arrows will always be visible if you have dependencies enabled. If you want them removed you could temporarily disable dependencies.
