How to calculate weekly GP on a gant chart?
Hello All - I dont believe this is possible with smartsheet - but I want to make sure before I purchase a one off.
I have included a screen shot below to illustrate my goal. This screenshot is from a colleague who uses FastTrack for this one and only purpose.
I currently have a master schedule that shows all of our construction projects. At the bottom, or top, I would like to see the cumulative gross profit per week, per month and per quarter.
I really dont want to buy FastTrack - If I cant get this done on a gant chart, any suggestions otherwise? I appreciate any suggestions...Thanks Jef

Hi Jef,
A dashboard with the report first and then the cumulative gross profit below/above.
Would that work?
Have a fantastic week!

Hi Andree - yes that could work if the columns lined up. How would that work?

After some research, I think the only thing I can do is to fake a gant chart look in a simple spreadsheet. This will allow me to have a gp formula in my week number columns. I can very easily link in all of my projects info and critical dates, therefore being automatically updated when the project are updated by my project managers.....hhmmm

I'm not sure it will, but it could be something to try out, and it's probably a little trial and error before it will.
My thought was either to have a report on top of the dashboard or the web content widget to show the report in that way (depending on what would line up the best.
It might also work with the metric widget.
Hope that helps!
Best,
Andrée

That sound like a great workaround.
I'd be interested to see the finished sheet/solution if possible.
Could you share it/a copy with me (andree@getdone.se) or maybe upload a screenshot?
Best,
Andrée
