Submitted Web Form - User Information
We are creating a web form to track business development possibilities. Other than adding a "Your Name" field to our web form, is there a way to see who submitted the form?
On a current smartsheet where we are using a web form, I can right-click to view history, but it shows only "web form user". What we would like to see is the email address or user name of who actually submitted the form (again, without requiring the user enter their name directly into the form). Can this be done by adding a code to the end of the web form link? Thanks!

Hi Pam
Not without adding the question who they are, or if they are colleagues, asking them to Login to Smartsheet. Otherwise, where would the ID info come from?
Sorry.

Web forms have an option to require users be logged into Smartsheet to fill out the web form. With this enabled, the users email address will automatically be tracked and the view history will show the actual user (not, web form user).

Thank you both. John, we figured out your answer after a bit of trial and error!

Follow on this, but I want the user's name recorded in the sheet - I don't want to have to view history. How would we do that?
