I want to know if it's possible to create a conditional formula (or something like that) that as a result Lock the row or the column.
When the user's filled the entire row I want to lock it from other changes, automatically.
Shaine's link above has details on how to set up an automation that would lock the entire row should a specific criteria be met (ex. a checkbox checked but no date in the End Date column). However, this automation would only take place once the user had saved the sheet, so if they make changes while also checking the box these changes would save at the same time. It would also lock all columns in that row, including the blank date cell, so they would have to reach out to the sheet admin or owner to unlock the row and update the information.
When you have a moment, please submit an Enhancement Request for only locking specified columns, and not the whole row.
As an alternative, you could create an automated update request that sends to the approver only if the "completed" box is checked but the "end date" column is empty, requesting that they fill in the date.
