Multiple Contacts Update Request

Hello!

I have a column allowing multiple contacts. I also have a update request set up to update the users (plural) in the cell when something changes.

My questions:

1) Does the update request go to all users?

2) If yes, can the information updated be overridden? For example, if the first user updates something in the row from the update form, the second user can override?

3) If no, who does the update request go to?

1) Does the update request go to all users? Yes, (depending on permission settings for Alerts & Actions)

2) If yes, can the information updated be overridden? For example, if the first user updates something in the row from the update form, the second user can override? Yes, all contacts get their individual update request. Comments are the only field that can't be overwritten.

How do I set up permissions in the alerts so ALL contacts in cell receive the update request?

Hi Andree,

I figured out how to change the settings - I changed to "unrestricted."

I also tested an update request after doing this sending to two contacts --- one received an update request normally (editable) and one received a update request all grayed out (not-editable)... any help here?

How are the users shared to the sheet and are the grayed out areas locked in the sheet?

They are shared "Editor - can share" and no the columns aren't locked... I'm stumped as one was perfect and one wasn't...
