New Web Form rows being added to the middle of the sheet.

Hello guys,

 

My subject really says it all.

 

I have a Smartsheet, for which I have created a basic Web Form.

 

Unfortunately, every new row added via the Web Form is deposited into row 63, whereas the sheet currently populated to 21 rows down.

 

I used to have an 'auto-number' column, which I removed as per instructions (i.e. delete column then refresh sheet) so it’s no longer a column to update and therefore shouldn't be causing an issue.

 

I would very much hate to start this sheet again so if there is anything you guys can do help me, I would really, really, appreciate it.

Hi Hannah, if I understand correctly, I believe all you need to do is delete the rows that are in between - so rows ~22 to 63. If you delete those, your next web form entry should deposit into row ~22.

New web form entries are added to the next new row in your sheet. Smartsheet will automatically add additional new rows to the bottom of your sheet and the web forms will be added to the first new row. 

 

If you want there to be blank rows between your data and the next form entry, you could add data to these blank rows, save the sheet, then delete the data. These rows will be blank but not "new" and new web forms will start after them. This will not prevent more new blank rows from being added at the bottom of the sheet.
