Does anyone know if it is possible to hide or unhide columns using Control Center? I know you can add a hidden column as a new column on a sheet, but can I hide or un-hide an existing column?

Thanks for reaching out. You can hide or un-hide existing columns via a Global Update: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/2476706-smartsheet-control-center-make-global-updates.

You'll want to use the "Modify Existing Column" option and then expand the "Advanced" section for your selected Column. Under "Advanced", you should see the option for "Hidden" as a check box under "Column State". That's a lot of nested information and I've included a screenshot below of what this should look like.

This is only for hidding columns. Is there a way to globally unhide a column that was hidden?

Good question! I agree that the screenshot indicates that it might only be for hiding columns, but actually, it's just a True/False checkbox referring to the state of the column. If it is hidden, the box will be checked. If it is not hidden, the box won't be checked.

To unhide a column, you should be able to uncheck the box and run your Modify Column Global Update to unhide the chosen column.
