Master Schedule

We have a a master sales information sheet that imports from our sales software and then links out to individual client sheets. Each of the the client sheets links to the previous job via cell linking and predecessors, We then have a portal that includes a gantt view of a report that we look at for scheduling - see attached screenshot. We would like to get something like that gantt view in a master scheduling sheet(rather than the report) that allows us to simply drag a row up or down and have it automatically re-order the jobs on the schedule(as well as automatically adjust the dates) and have those adjusted dates then propagate back to both the mater sales information sheet and the individual client sheets.

I'm sure this is a common request, but I just haven't seen an example of exactly what we want to do.

Hi Clay,

You can view any sheet or report that contains at least two date columns in Gantt View. These columns are required to add a Gantt chart to the sheet because the length of each task bar is based on the span of time between the given dates. Keep in mind, depending on the predecessor relationship, you might not be able to change the start or end date of a task without removing the predecessor relationship first. More on this can be found here: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/765727-enabling-dependencies-using-predecessors
