Activity Log

Is there an option anywhere for activity on a sheet to be logged.

ie: I would like to know who has accessed my sheets and the time/date they have accessed the sheet and also details of any changes they have made.

At the moment it sems that anybody (who has access) can make changes, make deletions, make errors, and there is no record as to when they may have done this ? I get the email updates, but one of my main reasons for using smartsheet is to try cut down on the number of emails I receive.

When my site managers update the percentage against a task on a project sheet, I would like to be able to see (maybe by just hovering over the percentage) when it was last changed and by whom.

Any thoughts on when (or if) these features could be made available ?

Only Editors or Admins can make changes to your sheet, Viewers can't. Change permissions to Viewer for those people that don't need to make changes.

I don't think you can tell who has accessed your sheet but you can tell who make a change. You can add a Last Modified By column to see who last changed the row. Or you can right click in a cell and View History to see who made the last change, when they did it and the cell history prior to that change.

If you also right mouse on a cell it will show cell history, If you have highlight changes on it will show you the cells that have changed.

A logging function has been requested before.

It is not yet on the roadmap.

You can show/add the Modified By and Modified (Date) System columns - these are updated for any change on the row.

If you are only concerned about changes and not just viewing, then you can at least key off those two columns to get you close.

The other suggestions on View History and Highlight Changes is what I do most of the time.

How can we view activity for a single user in all of Smartsheet? Not for just one sheet. I want to be able to see an Activity Log on a single user for all Smartsheet activity.
