Email hyperlinks not displaying as typed

Has anyone else experienced trouble with the way email addresses and websites are displayed in cells?

Example email address typed into a cell:   Support@companyname.com

What it changes to when you move to a new cell:  

<a href="mailto:Support@companyname.com">Support@companyname.com</a>

It doesn't happen in all cells, seems to be hit or miss; happens with individual email addresses, group email distribution addresses and web addresses.
