In my smartsheet I have a number of different tasks that have a variety of deadlines and have different people working on each task. Is there a way that I could set smartsheet to send an update request automatically if the task is not shown to be completed by the deadline?
I don't think you have the option to send update requests based on a date column in your sheet. I wish you could as that would be pretty useful for us as well. What I set up is a seperate date column called Reminder. In this column i have a formula to put in the end date if the task is not marked complete. Then on the sheet, i set up a reminder to be sent out on the Reminder date to the Assigned To person and just simply put in the message that "this task is due to be complete today, please update."
It's not exactly an update request but its a work around that we use. Hope it helps!
Kelley,
I do something like Zac is suggesting.
There are conditional notifications on the product roadmap

and I have hopes it will help for situations like this.
