Multiple forms to a record
Hi,
Wanted to check if there is a mechanism wherein smartsheet can store the information collected via different forms at different points in time in a single row ?
Providing an example below for more clarity -
Lets say we break the client engagement (an enquiry -- lead generation -- service agreement) flow into multiple stages such that at each stage the relevant information is obtained from the client which needs to be stored against the same client ID.
Any help will be appreciated.

Not at this time. But, there is a workaround for this, but, it is a very time consuming workaround. I can describe it in detail if you so wish.

Unfortunately, it's not possible at the moment, but it's a great idea!
Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment.
As a workaround, I'd recommend using update requests after they submit the initial form.
Would that work?

Another idea.
You could submit the initial row thru a form and then we could add all the other values in another sheet and collect those values to the correct client in the main sheet with the help of cross-sheet formulas and VLOOKUP or a combination of INDEX/MATCH.
Would that work?

I would also suggest update requests which can be triggered to automatically send based on a specific action or date.

@Andrée Starå That's actually an interesting solution, but I don't think it'll work b/c there will be multiple values in the Status Drop down. Additionally, I'd like to get rid of any vlookups b/c moving columns gets tricky then.
I wish in the Update Request, where you could specify columns you want the user to see, you could Hide/Set a field (like you can on a regular form.

@Mike Rini Have you looked into INDEX/MATCH in place of VLOOKUP? INDEX/MATCH is much more flexible and does not require the source columns to be static.
=INDEX({range you want to pull from}, MATCH("unique value", {range housing unique value}, 0))
