Automatic Deletion

I am looking for a way to set up an automation for deleting rows in a sheet. My firm is unwilling to go through security testing right now and is wary of putting sensitive data on Smartsheet, but is wanting to use a form to collect the data. They propose that a notification is received when someone fills out a form and the row is immediately deleted. Is this possible and how?

Yes, we do use Zapier for other purposes. I don't see an option on Zapier to delete a row, though. Suggestions?

I was thinking of either moving the rows or replace the cells with nothing.

I have a similar scenario where company doesn't want attachments stored in smartsheet but I have a need to enable users to submit a request via a form including attachments. Is there a way to automate download and deletion of attachments after they are received through the form?

There currently isn't a way to automatically do this through the Smartsheet app, but as Andrée suggested, you may want to look into a third party application like Zapier (see here).

I would instead set up an alert workflow so you know if an item was attached, and then manually go in and delete the attachment from the sheet (it will send the attachment in the email for you to download as long as the trigger is based on that attachment being uploaded).

I copy rows with Automation. Would LOVE to either:

1) Have the option on Copy Row to not copy comments and attachments

2) Have automation to strip them out.

So +1 on this one.
