Filtering Grid View from Gantt Chart View

Hi,

I have created a Row Report that shows only my project milestones. I use this report to represent milestones on a Project Dashboard.

What I want to do on the Dashboard is to show only the Gantt Chart portion of the report and do not include the Grid portion. I can see there's a button to select/deselect showing the Gantt chart. Is there a button to deselect the Grid View and only show the Gantt chart?

Is there any way I can do that?

I have not yet been able to find a way to remove the grid portion from a report. It is a great idea though. Feel free to submit a Product Enhancement Request.

 

In the mean time, I see that you have slid the bar over as far to the left as you can to expand the Gantt view portion. Have you tried hiding the columns in the report itself and then displaying Gantt view? I haven't tested that just yet though, so I am not sure if it will work.

Unfortunately, it's not possible at the moment, but it's a great idea!

Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment.

As a workaround, you could remove all but one column in the report to make it as big as possible.

Would that work?

P.S. Unfortunately Dashboard functionality is very simple. Wish SmartSheets will get serious about increasing functionality to Dashboards/Reporting.

 

I have submitted two Product Enhancements and I can think of more.

No matter what, there's always at least one column from Grid View showing.

I want to show only Gantt Chart.

There should be 3 options:

- Show both Grid view and Gantt Chart

- Show Grid View only

- Show Gantt Chart only

Ok. At the moment it's not possible. Yes, that would be excellent to have those three options.

Ok. So if one column HAS to be visible... What if you made it a blank column that had no data in it then shrank the width to as small as possible? I know it doesn't get rid of it completely, but that would certainly make the visible column rather inconspicuous.
