Conditional Formatting with multi select dropdown list

When using Conditional Formatting, I want to make my primary column change colors when a combination of choices are made in a multi select dropdown,.

What it looks like now is this: If column 2 is 'condition' and column 3 contains 'condition one' or 'condition two' then apply this format to the column one

Is there a way to change it to column 3 contains 'condition one' AND 'condition two' ?

Hi,

Yes, If you click on the menu opener (down arrow) in the left on the rule you have, you can select AND.

Why can't you apply conditional formatting to a multi-select column type when it has more than one of the drop-down items selected?

It seems like this functionality should be there as the formatting builder is looking to see whether or not the cell contains either "A" or "B" or "C" (so on and so forth).

Has anyone else noticed this yet?

Update**

I was able to get a slight workaround to work by clicking "define custom criteria" and typing in the same values that I would have otherwise checked in the list... I don't know why it works one way and not the other, but I was at least able to get it to work.
