Updatable fields in a report.

I have a report with several updatable fields. These are updatable in the underlying sheet. The problem is with date field. It won't allow me to update it in the report. All the other fields (4) work fine. 1 is a text, 1 is a contact list, 2 are checkboxes. Are date field not allowed to be updated in a report? If so, why not? Trying to get this to work with a dashboard so mangers can update the report without having to open the underlying sheet.

Check the columns in the report. Have you changed the name or type?

It could also be a column used in dependencies that is making it so it can't be edited.

Yes, I am selecting on "Due Date is in the past" for the report. Guess that explains it. Wonder if there is a work-around somehow. It would be nice to have users just update their own date as needed. (Right now I have been making these changes. )

I think my problem lies in my selection using the Due Date field. UGG!

Unfortunately the changes would have to be made manually and in the sheet itself because formulas aren't allowed in dependency columns yet.

 

I would suggest a Product Enhancement Request.
