Totaling across summary sheets

I have created summary sheets in several of my departmental sheets to take the place of the metric section at the top.  How can I summarize across all of the summary sheets?  I see I can pull them into a report, but I cannot add a Totals or Average field summarize across the summary sheets.  I thought I would simply add a link to my existing metrics rollup sheet but don't seem to be able to do that either.  it possible to link to one of these fields from another sheet?  Or how can I get the totals across multiple summary sheets?

Hi Dave,

Unfortunately, it's not possible at the moment to link from the Sheet Summary to another sheet, but it's an excellent idea!

Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment.

As a workaround, you could create a section in the sheets with the Sheet Summary and then collect everything on another sheet and calculate the data there.

Would that work?

Yes. We need this too, and I'll also submit a feature request. We have 12 sheets, each using the summary field section on the right (new feature). Now I want to show the sum of all those summary fields on a new sheet or report. I've got an "aggregate" report that shows each sheet and their summary fields, but I need an aggregate of that aggregate where I can roll it all up. the end results would be a report that has one row, and columns that total each field from the summaries on each of my sheets.

I sure hope so.  I too want to pull that Summary data into a sheet.  Nice that it can go into a Dashboard as a Metric now, but I've now found a need to pull a %Complete formula result in a Task List over to a Project Plan.  Can't do it unless I build the values out in the sheet itself (the old way), and then hid them.  Bah!!

Came across this searching community since I am looking to do the same thing.  I have a summary sheet sourcing all my sheets, and consolidated all the sheets shared summary data.  If I click on each column there does appear on the bottom right of the sheet "COUNT:  xx  SUM:  xx  AVG: xx" for the column. 

Would love to use this data in a dashboard, but not seeing anyway to use the data.

Hi, I am having the same problem and I want to know if there is any way to get the sums, totals or averages in a report from summary sheets. Please, if someone knows how to solve it, I would appreciate it if you can comment.

There are improvement coming this month to reporting, but I don't know if it includes the Sheet Summary Reports.
