Row Height

Is there a way to shrink row height, even if the font size does not want to allow? This is possible in MS Excel, even if lower parts of letters (like y, g, etc) are slightly cut off.

Donna, no you cannot shrink row heights in Smartsheet unlike in Excel. You cannot hide rows either like you can hide columns. You can make rows wider by doing word wrap on a cell with text that doesn't fit within the column width or increasing the font size on a cell in the row.

Cry Thanks for responding Jim, I hope they fix that in the future. I attended a Smartsheet webinar today, and the instructor said same.

The work around to that is before you import the excel file, ensure the columns are not in wrap text and fully extended. It should reduce your row size substantially. It takes a few more minutes on the front end but is much cleaner looking and consistent once uploaded.
