changing email address in contact list (web formular)

Hi everybody,

I use a contact list in a web formular. Unfortunately, it is not possible to write a new email address into the drop down list which is not yet included in the list. It simply disappears after writing it + Enter.

Is there a way to do so?

Hi Joerg,

A Smartsheet Form field associated with a contact column will only include preferred contacts (these are the contacts included as values in the Column Properties window for that column).

If no preferred contacts have been set under Column Properties, the field in the form will be a normal text field (versus a drop-down menu). This means that anyone using the form must type the contact’s email address rather than selecting from a list.

I am really confused because

• today I received your message with a comment from 2019?
• when I try to close this incident pressing the flag I only see pictures of me in big size (is this SPAM or a virus?)

How can I close and finish a / this case?

Hi Joerg,

Earlier you had reported my comment to a Moderator. Since I am a Moderator in the Community, I messaged you directly (quoting this post from 2019) to ask what you would like to report, as there were no notes.

It sounds like you're looking to mark the answer as an "Accepted" answer, is this correct? The reason you're currently not seeing this option is that it was posted as a Discussion type of post and not a Question type of post. I have adjusted this for you, so you should now be able to mark any answer as Accepted.

Secondly, the issue you're seeing when clicking on "Report" is a known bug that happens sporadically, and we are currently looking into this. It is not Spam or a virus.
