purpose build bar-code Scanners + Smartsheet

Can anyone recommend a purpose-built portable device for scanning barcodes that could be used with the SmartSheet (i.e. not a smartphone or tablet)? We're looking for something we can use in a laboratory environment, so it should be fairly rugged, have good battery life and be designed for barcode-reading applications. Any suggestions?

The top three vendors that come to mind are Honeywell, Datalogic, and Zebra.

Hi Andree,

I am looking at doing this. we are looking at Bluetooth scanners to hook into a laptop or tablet. Is it as simple as buying a scanner connecting it to the computer and using it with smart sheets?
