Searching a column in another sheet

Hi,

 

I'm trying to reference contact info from one sheet and have it show up in another as I type.  I want the second sheet to search a column as I type and match the contact name if it exists.  Does smartsheet have a vlookup or something that can search another column in real-time as I type.  

An alternative would be a drop down list in sheet 2 that has all the contact names from sheet 1.

Hi Mike,

The VLOOKUP function can be used to search for a value and return a corresponding value in the same row. However, typing into a cell will override the formula.

Incase you find it helpful —the Contact List column will begin to auto suggest contacts that are shared to the sheet, listed within the User Management, specified as a preferred contact, or saved as a contact in My Smartsheet Contacts.
