Putting a formula in with a form submission.

We are trying to set up a form where you enter scores base on criteria that populates a form. Based on that data each new line of data from the form needs to have the average score of those 6 criterias. However we can't pre-fill each row with the Average formula we want as the form always drops the data in the row below that. The row has to be completely empty for it to put the data in it seems.

Is there a way to have the form data populate a row with a formula already in it, or alternatively the form pre-fill the average formula in each time.

Thanks!

Make sure you have the formula pre-filled into at least 2 rows above the last row. Then delete ALL of the empty rows. And Smartsheet will auto-fill in the formula for you.

Formulas will autofill when they are in the rows either two-rows above or two rows below the new row, at the same level of hierarchy.

If you're starting off fresh... add a couple of dummy rows and then hide them. But make sure you delete every blank row below the rows with your formula. (Smartsheet always adds blank rows back in but those are for aesthetics. New form entries will go acquire the formulas.
