I have a dashboard that is showing blank reports when I view it. I have admin access to it.
I have a dashboard that is displaying reports that are not filtered by "current viewer"
Yet, no matter how I display the report in the dashboard the rows are blank for me. When I click on the report (which is interactive to bring up the source report) I see the data in the report that should be displayed on the dashboard. Is there something else in the settings that I need to change so that everyone can see all of the data that is in the report?

So you are able to view the report itself, but it shows as blank on the dashboard? That is definitely odd. And the correct reports are being placed on the dashboard?

I know this post is old but I came across the same issue and we realized that it was a browser problem. I had a user who could see a dashboard, but not the report data on the dashboard, even though he could view the reports themselves. He was using Internet Explorer 11. He also tried Firefox with the same results. I had him try the same dashboard in Chrome, and everything worked fine. We tested it with my account and got the same results. I could not see the report data on the dashboard if I viewed through IE, but Chrome worked fine. So check to see if your user that is having troubles is using a current, supported browser.

Yes.

Hmm... Are the interactions actually pointing to the same exact report on the dashboard?
I would suggest publishing the report then using a web content widget to display the published URL. One of the perks to this is that even people that aren't shared to the report or underlying sheets will be able to see the data in the report as long as they can view the dashboard.

Thank you. That would be a solution. But I do no like the way that it looks. I also want to understand why this is happening. It is confidential information as well so I do not want it in a published link. It is against our company guidelines.
And yes the interaction is opening the source report. Which is the report widget that is displayed.

I would definitely reach out to support on this one. I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help. Maybe someone else can chime in.
Any ideas??

That's ok. Thank you! I'll keep troubleshooting.

@Paul Newcome & @Melissa.Holland80446
Melissa, did you create the dashboard and the report widget?
Have a fantastic day!

I would think that even if she did not create the dashboard and widget, she should still be able to see rows in the widget since she is able to see rows in the report itself?
-
@Paul Newcome I'm thinking that it could be the new feature for the current user /creator in the widget settings. I want to make sure.

@Andrée Starå That was my initial thought too until I re-read the original post. It starts out with
I have a dashboard that is displaying reports that are not filtered by "current viewer"
I am at a loss on this one, and I do appreciate you chiming in. You definitely know SS better than I do.

@Paul Newcome Not filtered can mean two things. Either in the report or in the widget.

Hahaha. I don't know what that is supposed to be (looks like some kind of scientist maybe), but I'll take it. I am definitely getting a kick out of some of the new ones.
