Row Change Notification Being Triggered by Rows Added Through Form
Answers

@Paul Newcome The field is populated via a form that the user completes.

@dminenna Are you able to provide a screenshot of the data for reference? Is it free text, dropdown, or some other type of entry? Exactly what are they entering? Is it a dollar amount, a number, some kind of symbol, or free text?

Has the original issue been resolved? I am running into the same issue. I have two automations. One is When a new row is added and the other is when a change is made. They both trigger when a new row is added (that's the problem). When a row changes, the trigger for a new row does not trigger (not a problem and works as it should)

@Michael Vantrease It sounds like you may have a formula or something updating a cell when the row is added?
-
@Paul Newcome we found that if we turn off the automation for the generated PDF feature it solves the issue, but I need that automation. Is there a fix for that?

Hello, did anyone ever find a solution to this problem? I am experiencing the same issue as the original poster.

Did anyone ever solve this? I also want my notification to only trigger when an EXISTING row is CHANGED. At the point it notifies when a new row is added too which is not the appropriate action.
Thanks

Hi @3wing
You should be able to adjust the trigger to do exactly that:
