Gantt Bug in Dashboard?

When I view the Gantt chart directly from a Report it goes to today as the starting point for the chart (I've selected that option in the Timeline setup). But, when I display that same report in the Dashboard, it doesn't honor this setting and instead displays the earliest date in the Gantt timeline (which in my case may have been years ago). Is this a bug or is there another setting somewhere to get the Gantt chart in the Dashboard to jump directly to today?

Instead of using the Report Widget, could you Publish the Report (see here) and then use the Web Content Widget instead? (See here). This will keep the same setting of opening to "Today's date".

Nice suggestion. This technically works. But... the published view has a header that doesn't make the dashboard look as professional and seamless as using the Report widget. Are you confirming that this is a bug in the widget?

It's not a bug; the Report Widget doesn't yet contain the same display functionality as source Reports. Please submit an Enhancement Request for the widget, when you have a moment!

Did this ever get fixed? I am still having the same issue as this other user having my gantt charts display with the current date as the starting point.

Not yet; the Report Widget still doesn't have the ability to open up at Today's Date, however I believe our Product team is looking into how to implement this feature in the future. I don't have an ETA for when this may be released, so in the meantime you may want to Publish the Report and use a Web Content Widget instead.

It'a now Nov '22. Has this been resolved yet?? I'm having the problem which has been commented on since it seems 2018.
