Link Data in a Smartsheet on a Specific Day and Make Static

I have several 13 Smartsheets that make up a campaign of projects. At the top of each sheet I have some metrics, including the % complete for all the projects, combined, on the Smartsheet.

I want to create a new Smartsheet that links data from the %Complete metric on a given day, and make that data static in the new Smartsheet. The goal is to run the report every 2 weeks , comparing the last % Complete that was recorded, to the new % Complete.

I understand how to link cells between sheets, but the data is dynamic and changes with modifications to the linked cells, so I can't record the status of the %Complete on a specific day.

I was hoping to find an automated solution, otherwise I have to go in to 13 Smartsheets to copy the cell data.

Ok.

You'd only need to setup the Workflows once and then it will work automatically.

Another option could be to cell-link to a so-called Master Metric Sheet and then copy the rows to get the values at a given date.

Would that work?

I will give using the a workflow to automatically copy the column I need. I'm still somewhat new to Smartsheet, so I haven't tried that yet (didn't know you could do that!).

For now I'm copying the column manually from a master metrics sheet where I have just the projects listed by line and their percent complete. It's not elegant, but it works.
