Automatic Duration calculation from 2 Predecessory

Hello

I have a Task B that cannot start before Task A was finished and that should finish the same time as Task C.

When I enter 2 predecessors for B, namely that Task A has FS and Task C has FF, the smartsheet always takes into account only one of the Predecessors and puts the duration on 1d automatically (see screenshots).

However, I want the duration to be flexible but I want the 2 predecessor conditions to be fixed! So when I would change the start date of Task A, the duration should change automatically acccording to the 2 predecessors conditions.

How can I do that??

You would have to make sure the duration for Task A stays 14d. THat way when you move the start date of Task A, it moves the finish date of Task A which in turn would shift the start date of Task B.

Based on your provided screenshots, it is populating correctly. Task B starts after Task A finishes and ends when Task C ends.

Thank you very much for the quick answer.

I want Task B to start at 15/1/21, right after Task A, without any lag.

But when I put 15/1/21 manually as a start date, then it wont adjust anymore when I change Task A...

Do you know how I can fix the start date right after Task A has ended without lag?

My apologies. I am used to a different date format, so it had me all kinds of discombobulated...

What is the relationship between Tasks A and C?

Oh yes, sorry for that! :-)

Task A and C have no relationship.

I simply want to put Task B right after A and to finish with C - duration does not matter and should be flexible.

What if you set Task A to have a Predecessor of Finishing before Task B starts?

I just tried, it still defaults the duration of Task B to 1 day...

Also for some reason it does not give the end date of Task A anymore...

I think it is not possible to leave the duration flexible with dependable dates...

But thank you anyways for the help!!
