Random Number

How is it possible that there isn't a RANDOM() function in Smartsheets to generate a random number of a specified number of digits!?

Am I just missing something?

Anyone have any clever workaround?

Just need a random number to start with that I can do further manipulation with...

As you have found, Smartsheet doesn't currently support the RANDOM function, but this would be a great opportunity to submit a Product Enhancement Request to let our Product team know that you'd like to have this function in Smartsheet.

this is one of the areas where trello and monday.com offer superior functionality

It does seriously seem very strange to me that any tool that functions as a spreadsheet tool wouldn't have a way of producing random numbers.
