Prevent column name from showing up in Sight

Hi,

Has anyone found a way (or is there a way) to prevent a column name from showing up in a Sight? For example, I have a report on my Sight and a row in the report is actually the column name which is different than the Smartsheet column name (Smartsheet column name is "First Name" but the row showing the name is only "Name". How do I prevent the column name from appearing on the report or on the Sight?

In the report builder you can deselect that column and then it will not show up in Sights

Hello Nicci,

There isn't a way to hide the column name in a Report Widget on a Sight. Deselecting the column from the report removes that column from the report altogether, and that may not be what you want.

I'll get your vote down for a way to hide column names in the Report Widget on our enhancement request list for further review by our Product team.

Were you referring to the column name showing up in a metric widget?

I have found the easiest (but, perhaps not the best way) to eliminate the column name is to hover over the column name in the widget while in edit mode and then hitting the "x" to remove the column name.

@Shaine - is there a better way to remove the column name from a widget?

You're right on the money—That's definitely the way to remove column names from the Metric Widget, but there isn't a way to do this in the Report Widget.

Thank you! Another question - is there a way to know which column data is coming from IF the column name was removed from the widget?

I too wish to hide the column name / header from a Reports widget in my dashboard. Has anyone come up with a solution for this?
